Today I am sharing first of two small contributions to the Tim Holtz Sizzix Alterations Booth at Creativation.įor the first sample I used the new Tim Holtz Sizzix Alterations croc texture fade folder and sentiment words thinlits die set to make this Father’s Day card. Apologies for the delay, I meant to come back on Friday with this post, but wasn’t very well. I’ll be back tomorrow with the my design team card for the challenge I’m hosting over at Frilly & Funkie. You can pre-order all of the new Tim Holtz products from The Funkie Junkie Boutique. Do take some time to pop over to Tim Holtz Blog and see the list of designers who created for Creativation, I am in awe of them all! Mixed with the sentiment words die set you could make cards for lots of different occasions.Ī big thanks to Tim Holtz, Mario Rossi and Paula Cheney for inviting me to be part of this amazing team. The floral texture fade folder creates such a pretty background that needs very little added to complete a card. I mounted it over a strip of deco sheet and adhered to the card. I cut a strip of idea-ology classic kraft stock and die cut “Mother’s Day” from the new sentiment words thinlits dies and carefully sanded with a sanding grip. I mounted it onto paper from the new etcetera paper stash and idea-ology classic kraft stock which I sanded. Next I sprayed a crinkle ribbon with stormy sky distress stain spray and tied it around the embossed background. I die cut wildflowers with the thinlits die set from gold deco sheets. I brushed with a sanding grip to snag some of the edges to give a worn look and adhered over the background. I die cut an oval frame from mixed media cardstock and blended in vintage photo distress ink. The stamped image will transfer onto the non raised portions of the cardstock. To begin, I stamped one side of the new floral texture fade folder using a Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous background stamp, inked with vintage photo distress ink and ran through my big shot machine. I used the new Tim Holtz Sizzix Alterations floral texture fade folder and sentiment words thinlits die set to make this Mother’s Day card. Today I am sharing the second sample that I made for the Tim Holtz Sizzix Alterations Booth at Creativation.įor this card I tried to go a little less grungy than usual and tap into my pretty side. Saturday Showcase - Tim Holtz Baseboard Frames on.Saturday Showcase - Tim Holtz Memoranda Paper.Saturday Showcase Tim Holtz Alcohol Lift-ink.Planes, Trains and Automobiles Challenge.Saturday Showcase - Emerald Creek and Seth Apter E.If you want an album that is large enough to hold photos, then just adjust the size of your strips but join them together in the same manner as shown to make a larger accordion.ĭespite all the pages, tuck spots and inserts, I only used a few pages from the Memoranda paper pad so watch for more projects from me featuring this fabulous paper. There you have it - a little album that could be turned into a little junk journal if you want to add more "stuff" in each tuck spot. Cut two pieces of chipboard 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" and adhere to cover panels over the ribbon. These will act as ties to hold the album closed and the length of ribbon will depend on whether you want to make bows or knots as I did. Add a strip of ribbon centred across each cover panel. Turn the accordion over and decorate each panel on side two, including the back sides of the two covers panels. At this point I decided I didn't want little pockets on every panel so I removed some and replaced them with a variety of tuck spots. Create pockets and tuck spots on each panel, decorating everything with Memoranda paper.Cut a background piece of Memoranda paper 2 7/8" square for each panel, distress the edges and ink with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.Decorate each remaining panel and create inserts.
